Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
Manor’s Operation Christmas Child Shoebox starts early. We collect items through out the year; up to the Shoebox Assembly Party in the fall. Items can be contributed anytime in a container located in Blair Chapel. We feature specific items for each month. Monetary donations can be made anytime. Below is the list of feature items, for each month.
- June – Items for Girls: jewelry, socks, hair accessories, small dolls, toys, stuffed animals, stickers & books.
- July – Items for Boys: small tools (screw drivers, pliers), socks, small cars/trucks, toys, stuffed animals, stickers & books.
